Went up the hill to fetch a margarita.
Last night Shawn and I attended a Jack and Jill party in honor of Sam and Jesse* and their little girl to be. Who is due January 15, 2008. (What’s up with people I know having their babies on the same day as BB? I had two friends that actually had the same due date as SAJ, and now Sam and Jesse too.)
It was very fun. There was Mexican food, margaritas (most important), beer, water, wine, cigars (outside), and poker (also outside). This is what I remember the baby showers my Mom went to being like. It’s a big party where everyone has a good time. Old and young alike. There was unlimited beverages (but no one over did) and at the end of the party they all headed to the Stampede. Shawn and I would have loved to go, but one we can’t afford it, and two we had to get the girls.
We played games. The typical what food is it, the diaper game (but instead of chocolate candies and stuff they used all liquids. So you had to smell it to figure out what it was), and the pacifier game where if you say baby or cross your legs you loose your pacifier). The guys played poker. A good time was had by all. We even got to see some cheers from one of the little girls that was there.
