    Book Meme

    April 28, 2008

I’ve been tagged for a book meme, Simply Sassy tagged me!Here are the rules:
    Pick up the nearest book.
    Turn to page 123.
    Post the 5th sentence.
    Tag 5 other people.

This sentence is from The Edge of Time by Loula Grace Erdman.

    Enjoy!

“Of course, you know we live thirty miles from Mobeetie,” the woman went on.

I will let you know that this was harder than it looked. At the present time I have 11 books in front of me. I chose the one that I didn’t have to move anything to get to. A few of the other books are my Bible, Harry Potter 7, Beverly Cleary a book on Antiquing, A children’s Christan book, and other books Rapunzel was having me check the reading levels on.

    I am going to tag:
    Beth
    Hot Rod Hannah
Grandma (you don’t have to tag any one or link just type out the sentence.)
    IOI
    Kim

Even though you didn’t tag me, I checked the nearest two books just for giggles. First, Planet Narnia by Michael Ward, and it makes NO sense out of context: “If we lived above the Moon we should not suffer weer (doubt, uncertainty).”

Second, Bambi vs. Godzilla: On the Nature, Purpose, and Practice of the Movie Business, by David Mamet: “‘Tsk, tsk,’ they or you or I might say, as our eyes grew wide, our heart began to beat moer insistently, and so on, increasing the urge to read.”
