Ok, first, I want to thank everyone for the comments that they left over here.
I am very happy with this apron and plan on making more. I have one almost complete, but I am not as happy with it. The stitching does not look nearly as nice as and it really bothers me.
I am using a different machine and it is not cooperating. Tomorrow I am going to bring in my machine and see if it is any better. If it isn’t Shawn has ok’d me to get a new machine, but I will have to wait until next week to get it most likely.
For now I have plans to make coordinating aprons for the kids, butchers aprons for the kids, more half aprons, and full aprons for adults. I do have the pattern for an art smock for the kids but I don’t have the material for it yet. I am looking for an oil-cloth or flannel backed plastic for it so that paint and other such things don’t leak through.
So in the mean time I am going to start the giveaway tonight. It will run until Sunday, June 15th at midnight. The winner will be drawn sometime Monday, OMSH style. All you have to do to enter is leave a comment here. International shipping isn’t a problem, so feel free to enter.
I am going to give away Lisa, the apron I am currently working on. Lisa is made from the same material as the pockets and waistband on June, with green bias around the pockets and bottom.
Lisa is named after Eva Gabor’s character in Green Acres. While not perfect, she still gets the job done (in her own way) and looks good doing it.
And yes, I am naming the aprons after tv mom’s and wives. June was named for June Cleaver. I am naming them after I make them. I have a Lucy in my head, but haven’t found her yet, but as soon as I do you’ll be the first to know. So check back in a few days and hopefully I’ll have another one done.

I meant to comment the other day when I saw your lovely apron over at SAJ’s. I think they are beautiful and it’s a wonderful idea to make and sell aprons on your Etsy shop, especially the children’s smock’s for painting. I wish you well on your venture.

Time to set up the factory. I think it is as easy to make several at a time as it is to just make one.
I have kids do a lot of the turning if a strap needs turned right side out.
A new machine will make a world of difference.
Here’s to making enough to pay for it!!! Cheers.

I just have to chime in and say YAY! GO! YOU! But you really should throw my comment because it would not be fair if I won Lisa.

‘Sounds like a fun project! I could definitely use an apron. I’ve been meaning to make myself one for a few years now, and I’ve only gotten as far as getting the fabric. Babies tend to re-organize priorities!

What a talented family! Your aprons are gorgeous and I have no idea how you finish them so beautifully! I’m a beader not a sewer!
Nice choices of fabric too. You just need one of those shirt-dresses with a big poofy skirt and some pointy-toed stillettos!
