Apparently Thursday and Friday are the new Saturday and Sunday when it comes to garage sales. There were not nearly as many people today, and there will probably be even less tomorrow. But honestly, that’s ok by me. I seem to have caught SAJ’s cold and am moving a bit slower today.
In fact I was moving so slowly today I fell asleep. I took one sudafed and it knocked me out. Tomorrow I will just take a plain old allergy pill since I basically have sneezing and a runny nose.
I think I failed in the Mom department today. I realized that SuperChic’s birthday is two Saturday’s away and I haven’t even started any planning other than knowing it’s going to be a pink/red/SSC type thingy.
On top of that I brought the kittens over for the Estate Sale. While yesterday people kept saying over and over, “I have a friend who….”, we never expected anyone to come through. Especially when I was insistent that they had to go to the same home. I know, I know, if I really wanted to get rid of them I shouldn’t be so picky. But the kittens were almost 4 months old and had never been apart from each other. In fact, last night was the first night that they had ever been away from their Mom and they were not happy about it.
So this morning a lady came through, fell in love and said she’d be back if her husband said it was ok. I had a feeling she wouldn’t be back, and she wasn’t. BUT, an elderly couple were here yesterday and said that they had a friend who was looking for a kitten. And while I never expected them to actually show up, they did, with a carrier. They took both kittens happily, glad that the would have each other, and hoping that they would get along with their 20 pound cat Garfield. They said, “well, at least they’ll all match.”
After a long tearful goodbye, for the girls, not the kittens, they were loaded into the car and taken to get their shots. I think we definitely scored in the finding a good home department.
