A list of sorts

Wow.

It’s been almost a month since I last posted.

Any of you who follow me on Twitter know that I haven’t fallen off of the face of the earth.

I’ve been busy. Really. The state of my kitchen, living room, and bedroom proves it.

I’d show you photos as proof, but I am not that brave. I will give you this link and tell you that I have places for everything, they’re just not in them.

So instead I will give you a time line with what I’ve been up to.

2/2/09
I went to the doctor. I was prescribed Lexapro. I was also sent for blood work and ultrasounds.

2/10/09
I’ve since found out that my numbers being slightly elevated is a joke. (I know it could develop into more but…) 42.9 vs. 39 is not a big deal when cancer patients are in the 1000′s.

2/7/09
We painted pottery at a local studio. More than likely I will not take the girls back there again. I painted my first piece of “Dottery” as a birthday gift for my Mom. Which I will give her this weekend.

I got my new computer. Don’t ask what it is, ’cause I couldn’t tell you. All I know is that I have a blu-ray drive, a RW drive, a 22″ monitor, and it’s really fast. It pays to have friends with a Masters in computer science.

We went to Disneyland and California Adventure with my parents. Day one started like this:

It was broken. Both bones in her foreleg.

2/25/09
1 cyst and two fibroids were found during my ultrasound. 2.2 and 2.3 cm respectively. Proceeded to have a mini freak out.

2/23/09
Shawn’s great aunt passed away.

2/24/09
We spent the day moving her belongings out of the retirement home.

2/27/09
Saw gyno. He did the same two ultrasounds over in his office, and a pelvic. The cyst was gone. The fibroids were still there. He said to come back in six months for another ultrasound to check the fibroids. If they’ve grown a lot in six months I get to worry a lot. If they’ve grown a little I don;t have to worry very much. If they’ve shrunk, good for me.

I also have to track my cycle. He says twice a month is not normal.

I’ve done a lot of knitting in the last month. I don’t have all of it photographed yet, but I’m working on it.
