The Cinderella Dress is finished, well mostly. All that’s left is to sew on the snaps for the over skirt and the hook and eyes on the bodice to hold on the over skirt and shoulder drape. I want them to be detachable just in case she doesn’t want all the sparkly stuff. Yeah, right, like that’s ever going to happen.
The look on her face when she got to put it all on made everything worth it. This wasn’t the easiest dress to make. Well it wasn’t easy for me. There were definitely some ripping going on during the process. Which means five minutes of work takes 10-15 to rip out and another 5 to redo. I did everything but put in the zipper. Mom did that for me. I probably could have done it but I’ve only put a zipper in once and it took me about 2 hours to do it. It was very frustrating.
I think the dress looks good, just please don’t examine the seams. They’re not completely straight and the side seam doesn’t match up on one side. But SuperChic is happy and it’s not like I’m trying to sell the dress.
I even got a video of SuperChic dancing in her dress.
