    Cards, cards, cards

    June 30, 2009

I really need to get back to writing actual letters to people. Email is great, but there’s nothing like the excitement of getting a letter in the mail. It sure beats getting another flyer or letter from Ed McMann.

For those of you already on that same track, here’s something you might enjoy.

Using the garden and my kids as inspiration I’ve created and listed some cards in my Etsy shop.

    Coffee Anyone?

    June 28, 2009

The last week has been crazy.

The temperature has been steadily rising, which means I’ve been just as steadily retreating into he darkness of the house. Which also means that I’m not getting nearly as much done as I should be. It’s very hard to get anything done when the curtains are closed to keep out the heat so you can’t tell the sun is out because it’s so dark.

My living room is clean, if you ignore the mountain of laundry to be folded and put away. The kitchen is a work in progress. Hopefully *fingers crossed* I’ll get it finished tonight. Not counting he floors. They can wait another day because I have to finish the laundry first.

In the last week I’ve completed a custom apron.

Taken a custom tote order. (KJ the pattern is here!)

Spent a lot of hours at the fabric store.

    And made more coffee sleeves.

    coffee anyone?

It seems my fabric stash never shrinks in size. Every piece I use is almost immediately replaced with another. I can, and do, spend hours in the fabric store just browsing and getting inspired. It’s very hard to just run in and get the one item I need without oohing and awwing over all the others.

Next week Sue is taking Rapunzel up to Northern California for a bible camp. I’m helping Great Grandma while their gone, and hopefully, will get lots of sewing done.

    Sale

    April 30, 2009

Way back when I made an apron. It was fun to make.

    June

I listed it on Etsy, and by some miracle or another it sold. I then decided to make more aprons, a few hats and scarves, and a tote.

Somewhere along the way I ran out of steam or something. I don’t know what happened, but I listed what I had already made, bought more material, and then stopped.

So, to get to my point, in a roundabout makes-no-real-sense way, I have reduced the prices on everything in my shop in hopes that someone out there will buy something so I can make more.

I know, the economy is down, blah, blah, blah, but hey, if I don’t pimp my store who will.

    New Stock

I finally got photos of my aprons and they are now listed in my shop.

Tonight or tomorrow I will be listing children’s picnic/tea napkins and tablecloth combos.

    Photos here.
