    Super Texter

    February 26, 2010

If you haven’t noticed my blog has been neglected but my Twitter account is much more active.

I am trying to get back to writing nut I an having a hard time sitting down at the computer to “write.” Last week Shawn bought me a hard backed journal. One just for me, just for writing. It’s not for grocery lists, or to do lists, or my knitting patterns.

I really needed that. When I was in school I used to write on a daily basis. Sometimes it was a letter, sometimes a poem, but it was something.

I miss that. I miss me.

I miss the me that wasn’t afraid NOT to hold her tounge in her writing. Just because I wrote it doesn’t mean that I have to post it and if no one else is going to read it I don’t have to worry about what I say. Maybe a few days of journaling will get me back on track.

    Wow. Where to start.

There have been so many things going on lately, yet I can’t really remember what happened when.

I’ve gone on the truck with Phoenix. An overnight trip to Phoenix took us four days with all the truck and trailer repairs. Luckily we didn’t have to pay for them.

Rapunzel is pulling her grades up. This friday is the schools Valentine’s dance. She’s going with I. I keep bringing it up just to see her face turn red. Aren’t I great?

SuperChic is being, well, SuperChic. She’s into everything. She’s argumentative, she’s bossy, she’s bratty, she’s talk-backie. She’s just plain annoying. I know I shouldn’t say that about my seven year old, but she is. I love her to death, but she’s just plain getting under my skin.

On top of everything else I was dealing with the excema from hell. Daily outbreaks were rapidly spreading across my body. After months of itchiness I finally called the doctor and asked for a steroid prescription. Within 24 hours the rash was almost completely gone. I wasn’t as bad as Very Mom’s, but it was enough. I was bruised and bleeding from scratching in my sleep.

The rash is gone, but now I have hives on a daily basis. At least I can just take liquid filled Claritin for that though.

I’ve been so out of it that I haven’t even been taking any photos. Shame on me.

On the happier side Shawn will be coming home for a whole week in just a few days. I don’t know what we are going to do, but I’m sure everyone will keep us plenty busy while he’s here.

    Disneyland Fav’s

    December 16, 2009

Sunday was spent at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure parks. The girls and I had a really great day.

We rode some rides, shopped, ate free tortillas, and watched the fireworks. I really love the way the castle looks wit all the lights on it.

We’d never seen Small World decorated for Christmas before. It was a real treat.

The Haunted Mansion is still all decked out, and will be until January 3rd. Hopefully we can make it back one more time before it returns to it’s normal decor. Seeing Jack, Oogie, and Zero always make the girls crack up.

    Oogie Boogie

I think some of my favorite decorations were in A Bug’s Land. Everything is so huge to make us feel so tiny. The girls and I rode Heimlich’s Chew-Chew Train and Tuck and Roll’s Bumper Cars for the first time. I preferred the train, though the animal cracker box made me hungry because it really smelled like animal crackers.

We all wore our new hats, too.
